Now entering its seventh season, Sottero and Midgley continues to offer both contemporary and traditional brides affordable luxury of the highest quality in fashion forward designs.
Sottero and Midgley: Redefining bridal fashion
About the Spring 2013 Sottero and Midgley Collection:Dramatic and decadent, yet distinctly demure, the Sottero and Midgley Spring 2013 Collection touts feminine sophistication and sweet romance in a diverse range of styles designed for the modern bride. Silhouettes vary from elongated, body-hugging bodices with stunning statement skirts, to artsy, avant-garde ball gowns: elaborately layered and trimmed. Necklines range from bateaus and portraits dusting the shoulders to updated Queen Annes and plunging V’s accentuating the décolleté. The sweetheart neckline remains strong, although this season reinvented with illusion adornment and asymmetrical variation. Attention to back detail is stunning and sexy with keyholes, illusion lace, jewels and bows. Fabrics are both soft as tulle and structured as organza, lace being prominent and paired with them all, and pigmented hues making occasional appearances. Sleeves are en vogue, a return to yester-year: caps, shorts, three-quarter length and long. And, embellishments are as diverse as the many gowns they adorn: fringe joining feathers and flowers, to name a few.
