Win Your Gown

This has got to be one of the most original sales we've ever come up with! In an effort to get rid of our discontinued sample gowns, we're putting them up for auction! Not exactly what you'd expect in a bridal store, is it? Well, we're not any old bridal store - lol!
So every Wednesday in October we're opening up the auction with bids beginning at $99 and ranging to $499. There are over 100 dresses to choose from. If you've been following our Facebook and Twitter posts, then you've probably noticed that they've been tinged a little bit "green" lately. There's good reason for that: It's Eco-Month at Suzanne's Bridal Boutique.

While we always do our best to think green first, we picked this month to celebrate our Earth because of the introduction of a fabulous new eco-friendly bridal line called PURE by Justin Alexander. PURE is a collection of couture dresses designed with eco-friendly materials, such as organic silks and cottons, and embellished with natural elements, such as wood pieces and shells. Welcome Pattis Bridal

Ladies, it's finally arrived. The Pattis Bridal trunk show is at Suzanne's Bridal Boutique today through Sunday and let me tell you, it's glamourous. Every consultant in our boutique has at least one favorite piece from this line, if not more. All the gowns have such a sense of movement to them. The pieces from the current line have a distinct old Hollywood glam to them. And take it from us, they are even better in person than they are in pictures (of course we tried some of them on - that's the bonus of working in a bridal boutique!!).

We're Gonna Be Stars!

Well, not like movie stars, but we are gonna get our one minute of fame. We’ve been invited to participate in a short spot on Fox 10’s morning show and we’re so excited! Tomorrow (Friday) we’ll be out in Mesa, along with other wedding vendors, talking about the trends in bridal and bringing along some of our girls to model gowns. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

It’s all for a promotion for the East Valley Bridal Show which is happening on Sunday, August 16th, from 9am to 3pm. We’ll be there as well putting on a fashion show and selling gowns.
So be sure to tune in tomorrow morning around 8:15 on Fox 10 and then drop by the show on Sunday at the Mesa Convention Center.

We Love Nice Brides!

If you've ever been in our boutique, you've surely seen the sign or the tees that say "We love nice brides!" We say it because we mean it. Nice brides are what make us love what we do.

I've been a bride. I've been in countless wedding. I've helped tons of brides with their weddings. I know that weddings spell DRAMA. But how you handle it makes all the difference. At Suzanne's Bridal Boutique we love to encounter the bride who can handle any situation with grace and charm. She's a gem. And usually, these diamond brides have moms that are gems too - we can see where they get it from!

Perhaps one of the nicest brides we've had was a girl named DeeDee. And, it should be added, her mom was simply the nicest woman you'll meet. DeeDee chose a unique Kitty Chen dress and had Suzanne add sleeves to her gown. Recently she sent us a thank you card to tell us how much she appreciated us. She said:

Welcome Aire

Well ladies, it's finally here. The Aire trunk show collection by designer Rosa Clara has arrived at Suzanne's Bridal Boutique. Aire is one of our favorite lines simply because of its uniqueness. If you haven't been to our boutique then you should know that we pride ourselves on carrying gowns that you don't really experience in other stores. Aire definately qualifies.

The Barcelona born designs have a distinct European flair to them. I particularly love the polka dot lace details and the swirling skirts that begged to be danced in. But whatever your tastes, you will find something you love in this collection.

This show includes about fifteen or so new pieces that we haven't previously had in store. It's a great opportunity to indulge your wedding fantasies and find the dress you've been dreaming of. Don't forget that if you do find an Aire dress that you love, you'll save 10% on your purchase if you pay for it in full.

Let's Get This Party Started

If you can't tell, we're uber excited about Saturday's sale. We've had so many brides make their appointments...we had to open up a second page in our appointment book! It's going to be crazy fun! They'll take you around the city in a big limo to check out lots of possible wedding location. You'll have so much fun exploring the possibilities with other couples. They'll feed you appetizers, cocktails, lunch, and cake. You'll get to check out floral samples, hear live music, ask for advice, and even take home a goody-bag filled with specials and treats. Surviving the Sample Sale

First, let me tell you how excited I am about our sale this Saturday! So many girls have responded...it feels fabulous! I know they are all going to find something they luv-luv.
For those of you who have never shopped a sample sale, it can be a little bit crazy. I mean, this won't be a Filene's Basement's Running of the Brides, but it can still be hectic. Here are a few tips for making the most of your trip:

* First and foremost, make your appointment. We have about 2 or 3 more 10:00 am appointments available (as of this writing), but we'll be going all day until 5pm or until the dresses are gone!

* Pack your patience. Oftentimes at an event like this, you will have to wait to use a mirror or to get a fitting room or even to try on a gown. Be patient. Your sales associate is doing all she can to make sure you get your chance to sparkle in the perfect gown.

* Bring ONE opinion (other than your own). This is not the time to bring down your entourage. Bring a bridesmaid, mom, or fiance whose opinion you trust - or bring the person who is financing your gown purchase. They will probably want to have a say.

* Bring cash. Our sample sales are always cash only. Debit and credit sales usually incur a 5% surcharge. So to get the best deal, bring your money, honey!

* Remember that you are buying a gown AS IS. Don't expect perfection; they are samles afterall. But thankfully, most of Suzanne's Bridal's sample are in good condition. If you'd like to have them cleaned or altered, we can arrange that for you at an additional cost. Your dress will look good as new and feel like it was made just for you!

In this Internet age, it's as easy as the click of a mouse to have a new pair of shoes shipped to your house. But it's also just as easy to have your order lost or cancelled. When you're dealing with something as precious as your wedding, be careful about purchasing on the internet. Back in June we recieved the following message from a woman named Ann:

Hi, I just found out that my dress order had been cancelled from a web site I used. I was wondering if you had the dress I needed and if I could just buy it off the rack if you have the right size and color.
