Why Go To A Trunk Show?

A bridal trunk show can be an excellent way to get a great dress at a great price. They can also be great fun!

A trunk show gives you the opportunity to see a designer's full line of wedding gowns. This can mean the chance to see all the find details that you might not get to see in photos, and styles that aren't normally carried in store. At a trunk show, you can find the dress of your dreams, and it might be one that you wouldn't otherwise get a chance to see.

Because of this special bonus, trunk shows are by appointment only, and spaces are limited. You'll also get the benefit of being able to talk about the designs, which can be helpful in finding your perfect dress. At a trunk show, you can also work with the designer to make custom changes to a dress if there's something you'd like altered in the design.

We've got a Moonlight Bridal Trunk Show coming up, and it's an opportunity not to be missed. From March 22 to 24, Moonlight Bridal will be on hand to show off some really stunning bridal styles.

If you haven't already, get in touch with us to book your space at this trunk show now!

Designer Spotlight: Moonlight

Moonlight Val Stefani's sister designer duo Stephanie and Valerie Chin are a match made in heaven! Stephanie gave us the low down on their to-die-for Spring designs!

SBB: Suzanne’s has an exclusive on Val Stefani bridal dresses. What does this mean for brides?
SC: For brides that love Val Stefani, Suzanne’s is the place to go. They will have the best selling styles and superior service that our Val Stefani brides are looking for.

SBB: What was the principle inspiration behind your Spring line?
SC: This season was inspired by The Glowing Garden by Bruce Munro. We were inspired by the juxtaposition of modern elements within nature. This collection is based off the combination of unexpected elements and creating dramatic statements with embellishments. Focusing on the combination of these contrasting textures and embellishments helps to bring new life to classic silhouettes. Drawing upon natural elements for shapes and lace patterns and arrangements resulted in breathtaking results. Blurring the lines between nature and fashion by being able to meld the fashion landscape with what is found naturally occurring in nature. So each design is melding the light and fashion landscape into one.

SBB: What unifies your Spring collection? What makes it different from the lines of your competitors?
SC: The unifying element of our Spring Collection is our use of different textures. That can be from adding handmade fabric detailing such as petal organza or from the use of layering of lace. Our collections from Moonlight and Val Stefani have a range price points that has something for every bride.

SBB:
Which gown is your top performer? Which are your personal favorites?
SC: Choosing a favorite gown for us is like asking a parent to choose their favorite child! All the months of work that go into each dress makes it hard to choose.

SBB:
Is this season more Valerie, more Stephanie, or an equal blend of both of you?
Every dress from every collection we design is a direct reflection of both of our personalities. When we design we have work together create the best design for each style.  We balance each other out because we have such different personalities and taste so our designs reflect that balance. One of us will be like add more while the other will want to streamline the design. Every style is a really good mix of our personalities.

SBB: What type of bride do you imagine when you design?
SC: We have always had the desire to create exquisite feminine gowns drawing from our global influences and combining from vintage inspired embellishments with modern styling. We design for the romantic bride that has a timeless and elegant aesthetic.

SBB: What is your favorite bridal trend for Spring 2013?
SC: We are currently inspired by blush tones and vintage inspired lace. We find that colors are a great way to incorporate the color palate of your wedding and help give your gown that extra pop accent. A color sash also helps to accent your waistline and give you a more hourglass figure. We find our brides being more adventurous with their color choices and even going for blush tone gowns like our Moonlight Collection style J6265 as well as our Val Stefani style D8038.
