Choosing the color palette for your wedding is a daunting task! Take a look at some tips on how to help you pick:
Oh, the number of choices you have to make
for the Big Day! Among the million-and-one decisions you have to take before
the wedding day, make sure choosing
color palette is not even by far among the least important tasks for
you. Choosing your wedding colors is extremely important for the way everything
will look – but it will indeed be one of the most difficult tasks as well. How
to do it? How to choose wedding colors you will truly love? Here are some tips
to make this choice easier for you:
· The mood you want to create for the Big Day can matter a lot. For instance, if you want your wedding to be vibrant, playful and full of energy, brighter colors will be a great area to turn to. However, if you want something more delicate and gentle and a “calmer” appeal created around the Big Day, you should turn to pastels.
· The wedding theme and season can be a great source of inspiration. For example, most of the Rustic weddings incorporate some form of brown or nude in them. Likewise, most spring weddings will focus on colors inspired by this season too. Take a look around you and allow nature to be one of your best advisors because it never “creates” anything that is “off” or “distasteful”.
· Make sure you have a 12-color wheel with you. If you want your wedding palette to be simple, elegant but not boring, choose a monochromatic combination (different shades of the same hue). If you want your wedding to be bold and daring, choose a complementary combination (any two colors that find themselves as opposites on the wheel). And if you want your wedding to be well-balanced and unique, choose colors that are analogous (any three colors that find themselves one after the other on the wheel).
· To select a very particular shade, inspire yourself from Pinterest, magazines and current wedding trends. While you should definitely not create a wedding palette just because it is “in”, these trends can give you great ideas too so do not hesitate to use them (in moderation, of course).

Even though the rehearsal dinner isn’t the wedding, you still want to look fabulous! Here are some tips on what to wear:
Having a rehearsal dinner is a great idea
if you want everything to flow perfectly on your Big Day. Even more than that,
it is a great way of thanking some of your most important guests for having
been part of such an important moment in your life. Of course, you will not be
wearing your actual wedding gown, but you will still want to look amazing even
though this is not the actual wedding. What to wear for this rehearsal? Here
are some tips to help you out:
· In general, there are no actual “rules” as to what the bride should wear for the rehearsal dinner. The only important thing to keep in mind is that your outfit should reflect the level of formality your venue/rehearsal location will have. So, if you plan on having your wedding rehearsal over BBQ in your fiancé’s backyard, dress comfortably, according to the event. If you plan on having the rehearsal at a more elegant venue, a nice cocktail dress will be a perfect choice.
· You don’t have to wear white. Of course, if you actually want to, there’s nobody and nothing that should stop you from doing it. For instance, a lace-y cocktail dress will look really beautiful and it will connect your rehearsal attire with the actual wedding gown.
· If you want to, you can also dress in something that goes along with your wedding colors – especially if you plan the rehearsal around the same theme as your wedding. However, as mentioned before, the color(s) you wear should not be an absolute “must” and the only “rule” to bear in mind is that your outfit should reflect the location of your rehearsal.

Choosing a wedding reception is not an easy task! Here are some questions you should be asking when choosing yours:
Choosing the perfect wedding venue is not
an easy deal – not even when you have plenty of time and money at your
disposal. Since this is one of the biggest and most important decisions you
have to make when it comes to your wedding, you will surely want to think
things through. What are the main ideas you should keep in mind when choosing
the right venue? Read on and find out more.
·
First and foremost, your
reception venue should have a wedding package on their offer (or the
possibility of creating one at least). Also, you should make sure that the
venue’s size is adequate for your approximate number of guests too. Booking a
very large venue for a small party will not be a great idea as it will make the
space look emptier – and it will cost more too.
·
Keep in mind the fact that
certain venues might have specific regulations against the use of certain
pieces of décor. For example, some of them might not agree with candles due to
the risks they come with. Furthermore, some of the venues have restrictions
against the types of foods and drinks that are to be served as well (and this
might be related to their own policy or to the laws in the area as well). Even
more, keep in mind the fact that some venues may only agree to work with their
preferred list of vendors too.
·
Think of the logistics as well.
Knowing when your vendors can arrive to set up everything, where the group
photos can be taken, if there are enough parking spots or if there is a
changing room for you and your bridal party – all these things can make a huge
difference so don’t forget to ask about them (and about any other
“technicality” you might not be certain of).
Once you have chosen your venue, it is time
to focus on the other details of your Big Day – and your dress is definitely
not the least important one of them. Stop by Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique and
take a look at our fabulous designer collections – it is quite likely that you
will find the one in our store!

Who would have ever thought of having an unfrosted wedding cake? Give it a chance and you can achieve spectacular results with these ideas:
Although nobody comes to weddings just for
the cake, it is definitely one of the most important parts of your Big Day.
Generally speaking, brides and grooms choose tiered frosted cakes that are
decorated according to their wedding theme. However, as surprising as this may
sound for you, this is not the only type of cake you can have at a wedding.
Unfrosted wedding cakes are becoming more and more popular out there – and not
without reason. If you are tempted by the idea too, read on and find your
unfrosted cake inspiration in the following ideas:
·
A simple vanilla cake. Sometimes,
simplicity is the most elegant thing you can go for – and this includes your
wedding cake too. A naked vanilla cake will look just stunning when topped with
fresh flowers and greenery, but if you want to, you can decorate the cake with an
assortment of berries.
·
A chocolate cake. You can
definitely go for a chocolate cake if that’s your favorite. Choose delicious
vanilla buttercream for a mild, sweet taste or a more daring espresso and
blackberries filling for something even more unique. Top your cake with fresh
peonies for a fresh, youthful, spring-like look.
·
A carrot cake. If you want a
really special flavor for your wedding cake, choose carrot for the base of the
cake and vanilla for the filling. Again, you can decorate the cake with
flowers, powdered sugar and/or some cute wedding toppers (your choice).
Don’t forget to choose the perfect wedding
dress to suit your “naked cake” wedding too! When hunting for the one, stop by Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique as
well. Our stunning wedding gown collections will awe you for sure!
