"Glen and I have known each other over 37 years, and reconnected 2+ years ago. On the second day of our vacation in Italy, Glen rented a private water taxi to a secluded island looking towards Venice. We were escorted to a private garden overlooking the water. What happened next is what I’ve been waiting for all my life.  As we approached the table with two glasses of wine, Glen leaned over and said, “What a spectacular view, but not as spectacular as you.” He dropped to one knee and asked me to be with him forever."

He was so nervous; he opened the box upside down! I said yes! We walked back up for the luau, where they announced our engagement."

"We went to Seattle, my favorite city, to see George Strait in concert.  Doing a little sight seeing, we went to the Japanese Gardens. As we were walking around the gardens, Graham suggested we have our picture taken by a nice group of ladies. Not thinking much of it, we posed for a picture.  The next thing I knew, Graham was down on one knee and proposing. Not only did I begin to freak out, but so did the women taking our picture. Graham managed to get the entire thing on camera, just like I wished for. It was perfect!"

"Ever heard of “Tebowing?” While hiking in Prescott, my fiancé was adamant about finding the “perfect lunch spot”. After 4 hours and on the verge of giving up, we stumbled across a bench between two trees, on the edge of a lake. After a quick bickering session, he convinced me to take a video of our view. When my camera reached Nick he was on a knee. Me being a blonde and him being a sports nut, I thought he was “Tebowing”. Nowadays, Facebook has become an integral part of our lives. It seems that no matter what happens to us, we always turn to Facebook to share these with our friends.

If you have an important milestone in your life (like getting engaged), it is always good to share it with your friends. But here are some tips on how you can do it properly on social media so you don’t end up with a petty fight with one of your friends:

Alex & Lisa get married in 17 countries!!!

It was normal day, working at Suzanne's Bridal,  I was shoulder deep in the wedding web-o-sphere... gathering ideas, posting, blogging, liking, tweeting, etc.  I came across an article on Alex and Lisa, I started to follow them, read their blog posts, love the pictures... the different wedding dresses.
Then one day they landed in Florianopolis, SC, Brazil. A place I have visited and enjoyed dearly... I left a quick comment and a link of this most amazing bakery they should try out... and they did! ;)


Now they are famous, and all over the news... and it's fantastico!

Maggie Sottero Trunk Show Starts Tomorrow!

There was a buzz in the boutique when the big boxes marked "Maggie Sottero" arrived yesterday. We all flew into a whirlwind of activity as the realization set in as to how much work needed to be done to get ready for our big Maggie Sottero trunk show this weekend. The steamers were on, plastic was flying, consultants were ooh-ing and ahh-ing as each piece was unwrapped, checked off, and checked out. We are SO excited!

From the comments on our Facebook page, we know that you all are excited too. Well, the wait is almost over. The show starts tomorrow at 10 am and runs through Sunday. We've mentioned it, but it bears repeating that this is going to be a PACKED show. If you're attending this weekend: (1) please be patient and (2) please limit your guests. We've done our best with scheduling, but every time Maggie Sottero comes to our boutique, our store turns into something of a frenzy (in a good way!) - there's lace, and tulle, and brides everywhere!

Even with all the excitement and the craziness, Maggie Sottero trunk show weekends are always some of the most fun weekends and we expect that will be the case this weekend too.
