Choosing a ceremony site for the Big “I Do”
is a very important step in the entire wedding planning process. Thus, you will
want to be cautious in the way you do this so that you settle for what’s truly
best for you and your fiancé.
How do you do this? How do you choose a
ceremony site? What are the things you should absolutely look for in your
search? Read on and find out more:
· Indoor/outdoor. Decide on whether you want to have an outdoor ceremony or not. Indeed, they can be really beautiful, but take into consideration the fact that it might rain (and you should have a backup plan if such a thing happens).
· Religious/non-religious. Decide on whether you want your ceremony to be religious. If you want this, you will have the option of having your ceremony in a place of worship (and some religions will allow you to bring a religious officiant to your ceremony site of choice as well).
· Proximity to the venue. You don’t want to spend half of your wedding day travelling from the ceremony site to the venue – and you most certainly don’t want this for your guests either. Ideally, you should pick a venue that provides you with a ceremony site as well – but if that’s not possible, make sure they are in close proximity to each other at least.
· Price. If you are like most couples, you will want to stick to a certain wedding budget too. Some ceremony sites do not perceive an actual “fee” for their service, but they do accept donations (religious sites especially). Also, some ceremony sites’ price is included in the wedding venue package too – so make sure to inquire before you sign anything.
