Choosing a wedding reception is not an easy task! Here are some questions you should be asking when choosing yours:

Choosing the perfect wedding venue is not an easy deal – not even when you have plenty of time and money at your disposal. Since this is one of the biggest and most important decisions you have to make when it comes to your wedding, you will surely want to think things through. What are the main ideas you should keep in mind when choosing the right venue? Read on and find out more.

·         First and foremost, your reception venue should have a wedding package on their offer (or the possibility of creating one at least). Also, you should make sure that the venue’s size is adequate for your approximate number of guests too. Booking a very large venue for a small party will not be a great idea as it will make the space look emptier – and it will cost more too.
·         Keep in mind the fact that certain venues might have specific regulations against the use of certain pieces of décor. For example, some of them might not agree with candles due to the risks they come with. Furthermore, some of the venues have restrictions against the types of foods and drinks that are to be served as well (and this might be related to their own policy or to the laws in the area as well). Even more, keep in mind the fact that some venues may only agree to work with their preferred list of vendors too.
·         Think of the logistics as well. Knowing when your vendors can arrive to set up everything, where the group photos can be taken, if there are enough parking spots or if there is a changing room for you and your bridal party – all these things can make a huge difference so don’t forget to ask about them (and about any other “technicality” you might not be certain of).

Once you have chosen your venue, it is time to focus on the other details of your Big Day – and your dress is definitely not the least important one of them. How Not to Turn Into a Bridezilla

As a bride, it is really typical that you will be talking about your wedding details non-stop. This is because your excitement for the big day will really be evident, especially when the day is fast approaching. But before you annoy your bridesmaids (or worse: lose your groom), here are some things you should remember to do:

Stop Talking about Your Wedding
When a friend asks how the wedding details are going and the discussion turns into a 20-minute monologue on whether or not you should opt for a white tablecloth over a vintage white one, you know that you are already talking too much about the wedding. Even though what you are experiencing is normal, you have to be conscious about what you are doing so that your friends will not be annoyed. The next time someone asks you the question, just limit your answer to a few sentences.

Don’t Insist on the ‘Perfect’ Wedding
Most of the time, the people who insist on having a ‘perfect’ wedding turn out to have some sort of disaster on the big day. This is because these brides forget the essence of the ceremony and concentrate too much on the details of the reception. If you start seeing this pattern in yourself, be in control of your thoughts so you can stop yourself from turning into a bridezilla.

Don’t Forget about Your Fiancé
Sometimes, brides get too caught up in their wedding details that they forget about their fiancé’s needs. If this becomes a continuous occasion, your fiancé may grow distant from you. In worst cases, you may be left standing alone at the altar with no groom beside you.

Remember that your wedding day is just one day in your life. Don’t forget to live your life the way it should be lived. You can easily designate tasks for your wedding day so you don’t get too wrapped up with the planning. As for your wedding dress needs, check out our collection for some options.
