Wedding Gown Accessories

If you watch fashion shows and if you read a lot of style tips, you will find a recurrent motif wherever you are and whatever “fashion and style gurus” you normally follow: accessorizing is everything.
Of course, your wedding day is absolutely no exception from this rule. Accessorizing your wedding gown properly can make it (and you!) shine. It can make simple dresses become true pieces of art. It can transform everything, indeed!
Because accessories are so important, here are some tips you may want to consider when choosing them for your wedding gown:
  • The veil: this is one of the most commonly encountered wedding dress accessories, but it is not an absolute “must” these days. You are free to choose whatever length and design you desire, but make sure it will not be uncomfortable if you plan on dancing while wearing it. Even more than that, you can skip this altogether.
  • The tiara: some brides choose to wear a tiara. You can wear it with your veil or as a stand-alone piece as well. Also, you can choose whatever design you feel most comfortable with, but make sure it matches with your other pieces of jewelry as well.
  • The jewelry: you can have whatever jewelry you like. If your dress is very revealing in the front, a necklace will look gorgeous. Also, make sure you match the necklace and the earrings and that they don’t make you look too “busy” (that means that a very large necklace may not go excellently with a very large pair of earrings, for example).
  • The shoes: generally, this is an area where brides get creative. Matching the shoes with those of your bridesmaids or going for very bright colors seems to be a popular choice. Furthermore, you can always choose to have your wedding shoes custom dyed if you are keen on a particular color!

Visit Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique for an amazing collection of wedding dresses and accessories to die for! We have dresses in all styles possible and one of them may just be “the one”!

Special Occasion Shoes - Paradox Pink

I remember shoe shopping with my grandmother one time - I was probably about eleven... We were at the department store at the mall. The salesman ask my grandmother if he could help her find something and she pointed to a cute pair of strappy black heels that she wanted to try on. "Size 7 or 7.5" she requested. I concluded that she liked her foot size - I decided I wanted to be size 7-7.5 too.

The salesman returned with the style and as a good salesperson should, he suggested an additional style, one that might be more comfortable...  I remember my grandma smiling at the man and telling him she liked the higher heels better... "They show off my legs - and I still got em!"

Somewhere in my young impressionable mind the salesman blushed, and he should have...
Grandma had great class and style!

Have you checked out the classy styles from Paradox London Pink Collection? We carry an assortment of sizes and styles in our store. Delivery usually takes less than 3 weeks and we can dye them for you! They've been a hit with our customers at Suzannes' Bridal Boutique!

Now THIS Is Something Blue!

I usually spend about an hour in the morning skimming through a laundry list of wedding and fashion blogs.  On this particular morning, everything stopped when I eyed these shoes on a featured bride on Style Me Pretty.  Hello Lover!
I immediately went on a treasure hunt to find these gems to see if they were even remotely in my reality range - and guess what - they are (kinda)!
The shoes are (of course) by Vivienne Westwood (of Carrie Bradshaw wedding gown fame) and you can find them on Patricia Field's website (stylist on Sex & The City).  They retail for $150 but my love for them is priceless.  The one's pictured on Style Me Pretty had adorable red hearts, but I was quite happy to find that they come with blue hearts as well.  Wouldn't that make the perfect "something blue?"  I think so.
What do you think of this designer find?  And what are you doing for your something blue?

Best Wedding Wishes,
2sday
