Thank You Thursday: Amanda

You would have never guessed Amanda spent most of her days underneath the hoods of cars. A mechanic by trade, Amanda came in looking for something that would make her feel like a princess on her big day. She may have been surrounded by men while at work, but she wanted to feel totally woman when she walked down the aisle.

When she found this gown by Moonlight Bridal, she fell in love. Before she left our bridal boutique, she knew she had found The Dress. Her only complaint was that it didn't have the color in it that she'd been dreaming of. Amanda really wanted to weave her royal blue wedding color into the dress. She'd had visions of blue ribbons or beads or sashes or anything that would make her dress really stand out.

That was no problem of course! Suzanne came to her rescue by adding in the blue panel pictured and replacing the white corset tie with a royal blue one. It was just what Amanda dreamed of and she loved it!

Thank You Thursday: Sharisa

We've all heard about what a whiz Suzanne is on the sewing machine. We've see the necklines reworked, the sleeves added, and the hems adjusted. But the true testament of what kind of sewing genius Suzanne is comes out when she custom designs a dress for a bride. Admittedly, she doesn't get to do too many custom gowns due to the volume of special order gowns she works on (she claims we chain her to her sewing machine...we have no comment. *smiles*), but when she does, these gowns always make a statement.

Sharisa's dress is one that Suzanne is particularly proud of. Sharisa had a vision of something unique, couture, stylish.  We'd say that Suzanne did a spectacular job of making that vision come to life - and Sharisa thinks so too.  She emailed us this quick note:

Just wanted to shoot you this iPhone pic of the dress. . . . . . . I hope you know how much I appreciate your time and effort on the dress. It turned out better than I could have even hoped for :) I have had everyone I know asking me about where it came from so I've been raving about you on facebook since the wedding!! Thanks again, I love you!

Thanks Sharisa; Suzanne sends all her love to you too! You can't see all the detailing in this picture, but there are fabric rosettes that circle the bust line. The layers of flounce create a dreamy fluttering skirt that you can't help but adore.
