Blush, Pink, and Rose Colored Wedding Dresses

We're happy to report that there is no rule that you have to wear either a white or ivory bridal gown on your wedding day. You are free - if you'd like - to embrace a little color instead!

How about a blush, pink, or rose colored gown, for instance? Celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Gwen Stefani have walked down the aisle in rosy hued gowns and at the spring bridal markets, blush gowns were everywhere.

One of the first of our designers to pick up the trend this season was KittyChen Couture. This month she introduced the "Charlotte" in a spectacular rose color, similar in color to the "Summer" from her 2011 collection (which was a smash hit!).

Ella Rosa offers this gown (below) in a light pink that we simply adore:

One of Maggie Sottero's best sellers, the "Victoriana", comes in a pearl rose color (along with black, gold, white, and ivory!) that is just amazing:

Don't feel confined to traditional ideas of white or ivory for your wedding dress. If you're daring enough, go for a little color in your gown and make it memorable.

Un-strapless

Strapless gowns have pretty much ruled the runway for a long, long, long time. We were very happy to see that the new seasons bring more sleeved and strapped options. From spaghetti straps to wide, decorated straps, short and lacy sleeves to long and elegant ones - everyone can find a length they are comfortable with. We also carry a selection of sleeved, modest gowns that are ready for your church or temple wedding. But if you don't find exactly what you want, Suzanne is more than happy to add on sleeves to that sleeveless number you've fallen in love with at our boutique.

What do you think? Are sleeves or straps for you?

Lovely Lace

We can't deny that since the royal wedding, everyone's been going mad about lace. While it's not every bride's desire to be decked out in head to toe lace, for those who love it, there's a million ways to wear it. In the past we've thought of lace as being old and grandmotherly. But today, lace comes in all kinds of patterns and designs. Lace can be very modern or keep your style very retro-vintage. It's totally up to you! You also don't have to deck out your entire dress in lace to enjoy this trend. You can go for just a little touch to add a some feminity to your gown. How do you love lace?

Maggie Sottero Fall 2011 Sneak Peek

We know that you've all been waiting very patiently for the newest collection of Maggie Sottero gowns to come in. Well, it will still be a few weeks yet before we see them in store, but here is a very small sneak peek...

First, a little about the collection in the words of Maggie Sottero:
"This season Maggie Brides will discover drama and diversity unlike ever before. Feminine floral accents dance across skirts and adorn bodices in splendid contrast to the glitz of crystals imbued in lace overlays, scattered through raw-edged embellishments and encrusted in glamorous detachable belts. Body-hugging silhouettes, classic A-lines and grand ball gowns presented in equal ease with fashion forward artistry and innovative design deliver the impeccable style and incomparable fit for which Maggie Sottero is known."
Sounds fabulous, doesn't it? Well, here are the pix to prove that it is. Sorry, we don't have bigger images to share...you'll have to wait to see the gowns in person (and yes, we are scheduled to receive all three of these gowns)!
