Do you want to sell your wedding dress? Here are some tips to keep in mind:
A bride’s wedding dress is almost sacred to
her – but that doesn’t mean you will want to keep it around forever. If you
have decided you will want to sell your wedding gown once everything is over,
make sure to check with the following tips because they will be truly helpful
throughout the entire process:
· The best way to sell your used wedding dress is by putting it up online. There are hundreds of brides searching for a slightly used wedding gown precisely because they want something truly special (such as a dress created by a famous designer), but cannot afford paying for the retail price.
· In general, you should price your dress at approximately 50% of the price you paid for it – as long as the dress is not older than 2 years and as long as it is in great condition. To make sure it looks flawless for the sale photos, get it to a professional cleaner and steamer before you post the announcement. If your dress was created by an extremely famous designer (e.g. Vera Wang, for example), you stand a good chance to receive about 60% of its retail price for it.
· Make sure you make your announcement as attractive as possible. Shoot nice pictures from all angles, so that brides-to-be can see all the intricacies and particularities of your dress. Also, don’t forget to mention your exact measurements at the moment of the wedding, so that they can order something that’s suitable for them.

Beach weddings are incredible! Make sure you choose the perfect wedding dress with these tips!
We completely understand if the Arizona summer is making you dream of saying "I do" near the balmy ocean shore. Maui maybe? Hello, Malibu?
Let's face it, beach-side weddings are super romantic and the photo opportunities are endless. If you're thinking that sand beneath your toes is the way to go, we've got some ideas for choosing a gown that will be as stunning as the ocean view.
Let's face it, beach-side weddings are super romantic and the photo opportunities are endless. If you're thinking that sand beneath your toes is the way to go, we've got some ideas for choosing a gown that will be as stunning as the ocean view.
Beach ready lace from Sincerity Bridal |
· Two pieces. Part of the appeal of a beach wedding is feeling the cool air against your skin. Next season, prepare to see lots of two piece gowns that will let you do just that. And don't worry, these gowns are elegant and classy, but lots of fun. Pair them with a bright pair of wedges (perfect for navigating the sand) and you’ll be beach wedding-ready in an instant!
· Slip dress. If you want to be simple, elegant and truly comfortable, a slip dress will be more than perfect. With the right accessories, you can transform it into a true piece of art and into a real fashion statement – so it’s more than worth giving it a try.
· Organza. If you don’t want to give up on your princess ball gown (and really, you shouldn't have to), you should at least make sure it’s made from the right fabrics. Organza works perfectly because it’s lightweight, it will keep you cool and it will look absolutely stunning when it catches that ocean breeze.

Lively and Glam Styled Wedding
It's one thing to see a lovely gown hanging on the rack. It's a whole other thing to see it brought to life on a lovely bride! Which is why we wanted to share these fun photos from a styled shoot we participated in with Stacey Poterson Photography. Doesn't this model/bride look like she's having the best day ever? Of course, if we were wearing the "Coco" by Kitty Chen (shown here without the illusion tank), we might be having the best day ever, too!

Your groom wants to look amazing at the rehearsal dinner too! Here’s how he can do it:
As a bride-to-be, you want to look fabulous
– not just at your wedding, but at all the important pre-wedding parties,
too. This stands true for your groom as well – from the
engagement party to the rehearsal dinner, he will want to look at his best (and you'll want him to, too!).
How can he do it? How can he look truly handsome at the rehearsal dinner? Here
are some tips he may want to keep in mind:
· Tell him to pick his outfit long before the actual dinner. This way, if he needs any kind of alterations, he will have plenty of time to have them done – so that he can look perfect in his attire.
· How formal his outfit will be depends on how formal your rehearsal dinner is. In general though, both you and he should keep it less formal than the actual wedding. Thus, if your rehearsal dinner is dressy and fancy, a suit and tie will be perfect. If things are more casual, he can wear a suit without a tie or even a pair of pants and a dress shirt.
· He should not forget about the accessories. Add a nice pair of cufflinks and/or a watch to his outfit, choose a pair of stylish shoes, and ask him to have a haircut before the rehearsal dinner. He will feel and look great!

Got out-of-town bridesmaids? Here’s how to choose dresses for them!
Your bridesmaids are the most special
ladies in your life – and regardless of where they may live, you will surely
want them to enjoy your wedding. How to choose a dress for out-of-town
bridesmaids, though? Here are some tips you should keep in mind:
· Ask for their opinion. You want them to look beautiful and feel comfortable in the dresses you select for them. This means you should ask them what they might like to wear. Email them photos of the options you have in mind and keep an open mind when you receive their feedback. With proper communication, you can all find a solution that everyone loves.
· Make sure they send in the correct measurements. In order to get the best fit, ask your girls to have a professional seamstress measure them – just to make sure everything is truly accurate. There may be a nominal fee involved if they are not purchasing a dress with the store that measures them (As of this writing, Suzanne's Bridal Boutique charges $10), but it will be worth it when the correct size dress arrives.
· Order all of the dresses at once. If you want your bridesmaids’ dresses to belong to the same dye lot and if you want to avoid having bridesmaids get upset because their dresses did not reach them, order them all at the same time. This will also save you some trouble, as you will not have to place multiple orders with different boutiques.

SBB Real Bride, Chelsea, Shines At Her Flagstaff, Arizona Wedding
Happy 4th of July! We couldn't help but share this post today from Ryan and Denise Photography's blog...
Chelsea & Mike | Forest Highlands Country Club Wedding | Flagstaff, AZ from Ryan & Denise Photography on Vimeo.
It features SBB Real Bride, Chelsea, in one of the most brilliant gowns ever! The only thing that came close to shimmering as much as her dress, was her spectacular Badgley Mischka shoes! Seriously, our consultants oo-ed and ah-ed over those shoes for hours after every one of Chelsea's fittings. What can we say, we're shoe girls!
Anyhow, head on over to the blog and see all the photos. Thanks to Ryan and Denise for posting the lovely pix!
xoxo, Team SBB
